Community Peace Officer Induction Program (CPOIP) Class #10 | March 2 – May 21, 2026
This intensive 12-week program covers a wide variety of training including: legal studies, physical fitness, strategic communication, use of force training, shotgun training, RADAR/LiDAR training, and the Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC). Training is conducted 10-hours per day, 4-days per week.
This program is accredited by Alberta Public Safety and Emergency Services, and is open to both self-funded students, and students who are employed by a municipality.

Emergency Vehicle Operators Course | Jan. 26-30, 2026 | $1,100 + GST
Students will learn about vehicle capacity, principles of emergency response, and more. All students must attend in full uniform with operational equipment and bring a patrol vehicle equipped with emergency equipment. This course will include one day of lecture and four days of track time. Night driving will be on Day 4 of the course. Students must be appointed Peace Officers to attend. Accommodations are not included as part of the course fee, but can be booked at an additional charge.

Shotgun Operators Course | Feb. 9-12, 2026 | $800 + GST
Students will learn how to safely handle and discharge a shotgun in a work setting. Students will learn about reporting requirements, legal considerations, and more. Students must be appointed Peace Officers to attend. Accommodations are not included as part of the course fee, but can be booked at an additional charge.

Shotgun Operators Recertification Course | Feb. 11-12, 2026 | $450 + GST
Students will review how to safely handle and discharge a shotgun in a work setting. Students will learn about reporting requirements, legal considerations, and more. Students must be appointed Peace Officers and have completed an operators course within 12 months. Accommodations are not included as part of the course fee, but can be booked at an additional charge.

RADAR/LiDAR Operators Course | Feb. 17-20, 2026 | $425 + GST
Students will learn the basics of operating RADAR and LiDAR for speed measurements. All students must attend in full uniform with operational equipment, bring a patrol vehicle equipped with RADAR, and a handheld RADAR/LiDAR. Students must be appointed Peace Officers to attend. Accommodations are not included as part of the course fee, but can be booked at an additional charge.

PARE Testing (Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation) | $95 + GST

The Physical Ability Requirement Evaluation assesses an individual's physical fitness and capabilities for work in the Law Enforcement field. It measures strength, endurance, agility, and overall fitness to determine if someone meets the necessary standards for the physically demanding job.

Bylaw Enforcement Officer Induction Program (BEOIP) | Oct. 20 – Nov. 06, 2025 | $4,535 + GST (includes accommodations)
This intensive 3-week program covers a wide variety of training including: legal studies, defensive tactics, effective communication, baton training, unsightly training, animal handling, and scenario-based training. This program will develop Alberta Bylaw Enforcement Officers to be a strong part of the law enforcement continuum in Alberta.
This program is open to both self-funded students, and students who are employed by a municipality. Training is conducted 10-hours per day, 4-days per week. The cost of the program includes accommodations.
