PARE Testing (Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation)

Available on the following dates:

The Physical Ability Requirement Evaluation assesses an individual's physical fitness and capabilities for work in the Law Enforcement field. It measures strength, endurance, agility, and overall fitness to determine if someone meets the necessary standards for the physically demanding job.

Cargo Securement Enforcement | July 15-18, 2025 | $700

This course will provide Peace Officers with the knowledge and experience required to effectively enforce cargo securement legislation for both passenger and commercial vehicles. Participants will have the opportunity to go through all applicable legislation, work together on real-life exercises, and partake in a live compliance check for the practical portion, to prove competencies and put together all the information learned in class.

Community Peace Officer Induction Program (CPOIP) #08 | Aug 18 – Nov 07, 2025 | $10,399 (includes accommodations)

This intensive 12-week program covers a wide variety of training including: legal studies, physical fitness, strategic communication, use of force training, shotgun training, RADAR/LiDAR training, and the Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC). This program is accredited by Alberta Public Safety and Emergency Services. 

This program is open to both self-funded students, and students who are employed by a municipality. Training is conducted 10-hours per day, 4-days per week. The cost of the program includes accommodations, thanks to our partner Portage College.

Use of Force for Investigators | Nov. 12 - 14, 2025 | $750
Location: Calgary, AB

To ensure officers and agencies are afforded with the most thorough, professional, objective, fact-finding investigations possible, an investigator must have a basic understanding of the fundamental issues relating to use of force principles. This course will cover critical principles include biomechanics, human movement, perception and attention issues, decision making and decision errors, and more.

Advanced Incident Command System (ICS-400) | Nov. 12-14, 2025 | FREE

ICS-400 is an advanced level of training within the Incident Command System, it is designed to enable personnel to operate efficiently in the incident management team. It provides training for senior personnel who are expected to perform in a management capacity in a complex incident environment.

ICS-300 is a required pre-requisite and must be completed a minimum of six months prior to taking this program.
