Bylaw Enforcement Officer Induction Program Application

Lac La Biche County is excited to announce a newly developed three-week program to develop Alberta Bylaw Enforcement Officers to be a strong part of the law enforcement continuum in Alberta. Our program will provide officers with the confidence to conduct a variety of enforcement, including unsightly properties, animal control and parking infractions. With the increased demand being placed on Bylaw Officers in Alberta, this course is necessary to ensure officer safety, communication and knowledge.

Our program includes:

  • A comprehensive legal studies program
  • Communication
  • Notetaking/report writing
  • Handcuffing, baton, defensive tactics
  • MGA/Unsightly studies
  • FOIP
  • Animal handling (in partnership with City of Edmonton)
  • Scenario-based training
